Wow it has been a while. We have just been trying to survive the last couple months. First of all, this pregnancy is kicking my butt. Ok, I can't really say that. I have been really lucky becuase I have only felt sick a couple days and just fine the rest of the time. That being said, I have had NO energy at all! So no new blogs. But I am happy to report that with spring came the blessed second trimester burst of energy! Halleluiah!
In addition to that, it seems that our whole lives were put on hold during Eric's busy season. But April 15th finally came and i have a husband again. :) It has been great. We went on a "recovery vacation" to Utah last weekend (just Eric and me) and we feel like life is finally back to normal. Eric is working a normal 8 hour day instead of 12 hours plus weekends. Anyway, it is a relief to have that overwith.
So enough with my excuses. Life here is good. We are trying to figure out what to do with our yard. Right now it is all dirt but we are planning on getting a fence, sprinkler system and lawn in the near future. We are also looking forward to our big Waite famly reunion is North Carolina at the end of May. I can't wait. We have rented a super cool beach house so we can all hang out together. I can't wait to see Logan playing with all his cousins. Now all I need to do is get ready. :)
Well just wanted to give you a quick update. I will try to do better about posting and pictures will be coming soon!

Sicky
So Logan has been sick. Last week we found out he had double ear infections an broncholitis. Then, for an unknown reason, on Tuesday he started throwing up like crazy. But he got over that so we thought we were through, but last night he started getting a rash and then today, when he woke up, he was just red and splotchy from head to toe. So we spent most of the day today running to and from the doctor's office (waitng to get a urine sample from the little guy. I will leave that to your imagination). They say it is just a viral symptom so he should be back to normal in a couple of days. Although it could be that he is allergic to penecillian (just add it to the list I say. For those of you who don't know, Logan is also allergic to peanuts). He has been great through the whole thing though and although the pictures don't really do him justice, here is a look at our spotty boy. Ahh, isn't life great?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Logan got some flannel pajamas for Christmas and he loves to wear the shirt like it is a jacket. He will come up to me wanting to put it on, no matter what time of day it is. I just had to take a picture of him in it this mornign becasue it looked so terrible! He looks like a miniature used care sales man wearing footsie pj's!
Also, I am including a really funny video of Logan doing all his new "tricks." He loves to say his colors and dance. I think you even get a little bit of sign language in there. He is just a super smart kid and is learning things so quickly!

2007 Year in Review
Ok, I know I am a little behind, but I thought this was cool.
What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before? A few things. Bought a house, wakeboarded, went snowmobiling in FRIGID temperatures, cleaned poop off the wall of my son's room, took my son to an emergancy room, edited a book and got paid for it, and a whole lot more that I won't bore you with now.
Did anyone close to you give birth? yeah! My two sisters-in-law, Katie and Kamry, and a few friends.
Did anyone close to you die? Stephanie Kortsen, a former young womens leader and family friend.
What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007? patience
What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? The day we moved into our first house for obvious reasons :)
What was your biggest achievement of the year? Ummm, my VERY active one year old is still alive. For any of you who have spent much time with Logan, you will understand that this is quite an accomplishment.
What was your biggest failure? I would agree with April, not loosing all the pregnancy weight. Although I think after a year, you can't use that as an excuse anymore...
What did you get really, really, really excited about? Buying a house!
What song will always remind you of 2007? "Hey There Delilah" Plain White T's
Compared to this time last year, are you: much happier, richer, nicer? Definetly happier, a little richer (thanks to Eric's new job and not having to pay tuition), and you will have to ask Eric if I am nicer. I hope so.
What do you wish you'd done more of? Stopped to realize how good my life is.
What do you wish you'd done less of? Worry, the answer to that question is always worry.
Did you fall in love in 2007? I fell more and more in love with my two boys. :)
What was your favorite TV program? Chuck. I am sad that it might not be coming back
What was the best book you read this year? Harry Potter 7! It was the end of an era...
What was your greatest musical discovery? I was forced to rediscovery country music because there are no decent radio stations in yakima. I don't know that that is a great discovery.
What did you want and get? So as not to repeat the new house answer, I will say, a better perspective on life. :)
What were your favorite films of this year? "Dan in Real Life", "Bourne Ultimatum,"
"Hairspray" and "Licence to Wed"
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 25 and I spent the day here in Yakima putting a down payment on our house and picking out carpet and cabinets and tile. It was pretty fun.
What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? At the risk of sounding like 80% of Americans, I wish I would have lost some weight. Not just that, but I wish I had started earlier in the year running so that I would be a lot farther along than I am now.
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007. Jeans and a t-shirt, maybe an a comfortable sweater. I am all about comfort. Oh! Except I did discover ballet flats this year. I love them!
What kept you sane? Eric. Always Eric. He is so steady and grounded so when I am freaking out about something, he can help me realize that it is usually about nothing.
Who did you miss? I miss all my girlfriends. There is just something about having a girlfriend nearby that makes you feel good. I miss having someone that I can call and say, "Hey I am craving orange chicken from Panda Express, wanna go with me?"
Who was the best new person (people) you met? All the poepole ini our ward here. They are great!
Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007. I think I have started to learn some of what I am capable of. I feel like I have been blind to some of the possibilities that are out there waiting for me to grab them. Also, I have learned what it feels like to be willing to give you life for someone else. Motherhood does that to you. I was too new to the whole motherhood thing last year to really understand that.
What are you most excited for in 2008? the suprises that always come. New possibilities
What are you least excited for in 2008? Spring cleaning. Yuck.

Merry Christmas!
OK, sorry it has been so long since I have posted. We have been so busy but I know many of you are just as busy, if not more so, than we are.
So, I got a job. That is one of the reason for not posting. I work from home as a copy-editor for a marketing firm in Draper, UT. Don't ask how I got the job, it is a long story. Anyway, I LOVE it! It pays pretty good and I can do it on my own time. It is stuff I love to do. Right now I am helping to edit a book on real estate and it is really interesting. It is just perfect for our situation right now.
OK, on to the Christmas report. This year, we spent Christmas with Eric's family... in MONTANA! It was so much fun! Eric's parents rented a house just outside of Yellowstone and we spent that last week snowmobiling through some of the prettiest country I have ever seen. We spent a whole day snowmobiling through Yellowstone. It was absolutely freezing, but a ton of fun. We saw a lot of buffalo and even a glimpse of a wolf. Back to the freezing part. When we woke up that morning, it was -9 degrees outside! It warmed up a little during the day but with the wind chill factor, it felt like -29 degrees! That isn't an exaggeration either. I have never felt that cold before. Wow, it was cold, but wonderfully beautiful.
Christmas day was so fun. Logan seemed pretty oblivious to it all though. He was more interested with throwing the presents down the stairs than with opening them. His Uncle Curtis ended up opening most of his presents for him. We spent the day just eating and napping and opening presents. We had so much fun. All of Eric's brothers and sister were there so we had a great time. Eric's big present this year was a 37" flat panel TV. He opened it before we left for Montana because we couldn't fit it in the car but he loved it all the same. I think his favorite part was setting it all up. He is so cute!
We just got back last night and are in serious recuperation mode. Our kitchen is a mess and we are all exhausted. Guess you can imagine what we are doing for New Year's Eve. Going to bed early! We are all partied out!
Happy New Year Everyone!
